Community Barbecues
Food, Fellowship,
& Community Connection
From April through October, our outdoor community barbecues, held on the fourth Thursday of each month, create a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy seasonal meals while connecting with support services.
These gatherings provide more than food, they bring together partner agencies, mobile shower services, and volunteer barbers to offer resources in a warm and uplifting environment. By offering services that are often inaccessible to individuals experiencing food insecurity or homelessness, these events help remove barriers and connect guests with meaningful support.
MEAL PROGRAM
More Than A Meal,
A Place Of Care
Vineland Community Kitchen is located in the basement of the First United Methodist Church at the corner of 7th and Landis Avenues. Operated by Spirit & Truth Ministries, it is the only free soup kitchen in the City of Vineland. To ensure access for all, meals are delivered at street level for individuals who are unable to enter the facility due to disability.
In addition, each Friday, guests receive a nonperishable bagged lunch to help provide nourishment over the weekend. Beyond on-site services, Vineland Community Kitchen extends its reach by delivering meals to a local senior living facility, ensuring individuals who have difficulty traveling to the location receive food.
Personal Care
Supporting Everyday
Needs With Dignity
At Vineland Community Kitchen, support extends beyond food. Guests have access to free hygiene products, clothing, and seasonal essentials that are often difficult or costly to obtain. From soap and shampoo to warm coats and winter necessities, these resources help reduce hardship while promoting comfort, health, and dignity for the individuals we serve.
